Any reference to your account number refers to the bank account into which
you are depositing Interac Email Money Transfer funds.
Authenticate

You are authenticated when you successfully login to your online banking Web site.
Interac Email Money Transfer

The person-to-person movement of money, facilitated by an email notice between the sender and the recipient. The actual movement of funds takes place between the sender's and recipient’s banks. Click here to learn more.
Expiry Date

The expiry date of an Interac Email Money Transfer marks the date by which the recipient must collect the funds. If the transfer expires, the recipient will no longer be able to deposit the transfer and the funds will be returned to the sender.

Message

Reclaim

The sender can reclaim an Interac Email Money Transfer that has neither expired nor been deposited by the recipient.
Reference Number

This number is created to track and record Interac Email Money Transfers
within the system. The recipient should record this number for future
reference and have it handy for faster service at the help desk.
Registration

The one time process by which a recipient who doesn't bank online sets
up their bank account information, personal information and password information
in order to receive Interac Email Money Transfers.
Security Question

The security question is set by the sender and posed to the recipient of an Interac Email Money Transfer. In order to verify that only the sender’s intended recipient is able to pick up the funds, the recipient must answer the security question correctly. The answer may be a shared secret between the sender and the recipient, or the sender may communicate the answer to the recipient over the phone or in person; the answer should never be sent in an email.

An individual who has initiated an Interac Email Money Transfer via their online banking Web site in order to move funds from their bank account into the bank account of the recipient.
Transit Number
This number
is part of your bank account information and represents the bank branch
where your bank account resides (i.e. branch number). We require this
number in order to process your deposit to your bank account.
User ID

A unique identifier that you set up when you register with us. You use
this ID together with your confidential password to securely login.
